Dose Rates
- Initial treatment of water: we take a water sample to determine the contaminant levels. Dependent on these results we usually dose between 50ml - 200ml per 1000L for a short period of time.
- Maintenance dosage rate: again this is dependent on contaminants. Usually 20ml - 50ml per 1000L
- 100L will usually service between 2.5 and 5 million litres of water, this is roughly equivalent to 50/100 dairy cows (stock and shed supply) for the year.
When treating house tanks fed by rain water, we suggest dosing every 1 to 2 weeks depending on rainfall. Higher rainfall will lead to higher bacterial count e.g E.coli, warranting a more regular dose.
Services
We provide an on-farm delivery and installation service, free of charge! We use electronic dose pumps to ensure the correct dosage quantity. If you have inconsistent water usage we can wire our pumps to your bore pump for more accurate dosing.
As SCD(stabilised chlorine dioxide) is relatively new to New Zealand, we are in talks with retailers to get it on the shelves asap! In the mean time drop us an email or call for your order.
